we didn't mean to discourage you on the crate training, for some people and their Yorkies it really works well. Leroy just hated his crate and the first night he cried, howled, and got all wet with his water that I had to go dry him up. I ended up giving him free roam in my house during the day, with supervision of course (which I've read can be bad to give too much freedom but he did ok for the most part) and at night he slept in a carrier that was placed on top of my bed. Yes try something and see how it goes when you get her.
