Lily and I had a great long walk this morning and then just about 100 feet from our front door, she stopped for a moment and silently vomited a good sized puddle of white foam. She's done this twice before (over the past month since we adopted her) I just realized that it's always been early in the morning. I am attributing this to empty tummy/low blood sugar and maybe I should give her a little bite or her "vitamin" chew before we go on our long morning walk.
As a second note (to myself in the future!) Lily also had a short bout with some reverse sneezing today and it sounded like she had some phlegm. I wonder if the two have anything to do with each other?!
I'm not going to worry for now, she ate a good breakfast, drank water and is resting at my feet. I'd love to hear any of your thoughts! |
My Porsche is 10 years old and acting absolutely normal wants to play ball, eating, drinking, pooping, peeing all normal. Only new thing is since we've gotten a second dog (bichon frise) she has been throwing up liquid (bile) once a day or every other day for a week and a half. Took her to the vet twice and her senior bloodwork all came back normal. Have her on a 1/4 of a 10mg Pepcid, but still continues the same. She's had the same routine for 10 years...we get up at 6am she eats her Greenie, gets her anxiety pill in a pill pocket later that morning, then eats/drinks as she pleases throughout the day, then 1/2 a pet tab vitamin at 5pm or 6pm with a 1/4 of a turkey hot dog (she LOVES them!) and a bit more food. She's always eaten the Royal Canin Yorkshire 28 dry food and always only had great healthy reports at the vet each year. I don't understand why suddenly she'd get an upset tummy from not eating from 6pm until the morning??? She also does a reverse sneeze that has gotten worse recently (trying saline drops in her nose to help per the vet), but don't know if that is related in any way??? The reverse sneeze happens while shes sleeping (napping or in the middle of the night) so that worries me. Any ideas??
