Drives me nuts....not just at night either but last night especially.
No itching, or biting , barking , growling , licking, or rubbing.....
I have searched for random flea....it's not a lot ...but has a history of occasionally doing this cause I mentioned it to the vet a long time ago , I thought it wierd. They seemed puzzled too.

This EXACT same thing happens to Boushy Bear. He can be in a deep sleep and all of a sudden it is like someone throws water on him, he jumps straight up in the air.
He looks really freaked out for a minute then just lays back down (in different spot) and goes to sleep. It is so odd. I have no idea what this could be. First few times I figured it was a dream but he does it during the day sometimes. He always looks down too like he is looking for what attacked him. I wish I knew what this is as it really freaks him out.
In an odd way it does make me feel better that he is not the only dog this happens to though. I hope you find a solution!
