Before DH and I finally decided to just go ahead and build I looked at well over 100 houses. We put offers in on 3 or 4 but even those we didn't "love" we just agreed that they were the best so far and that we could settle for them. We must be pretty picky because when we bought our existing house we had looked at at least 50 houses before finding this one and loving it immeadiately. That was pre-children, so it is harder now to find something that "fits" our family and meets our wants and needs. We don't have extravegant tastes, either- simple lines and common sense set ups are what we want. I designed our new house to meet those needs. It isn't going to be fancy and it isn't going to be terribly huge but I HOPE that it will be "just right" for us and make us happy! Plus, we'll all get to live together again full for the first time in four years, so there's that.
