I've been using front line since it came out, it's applied between the shoulder blades, part thier hair between the shoulder blades about 1 1/2 inches, squeeze the tube so just a little bit comes out, run the tube slowly down the parted hair, the hair roots will absorb some, you will have left over, just repeat going down the parted hair, I have never had it running off their hair. What ever you use, just follow the directions, apply slowly and repeat if necessary. Good luck with your choices and applications.
