The vet's office where Max was neutered wanted to keep him overnight. They did not have anyone right there monitoring the dogs. I refused and the vet insisted. I planned to show up before they closed and demand my pup. However, Max screamed his way out of there by 4 pm.
I think the primary concern is keeping the pet quiet when they come home. I would also have an emergency vet number and directions handy if needed.
