Linda, I'm shocked to hear of this sudden blast of bad news for the pups and you! Just tell yourself that doctors have to anticipate and expect the worst even though they know many things could be causing your anemia and whacked out platelets, white cells. But they want to know from the beginning if it's something really bad so the doctor has to check that off first thing - at least the really good doctors do. I'm very glad you were under this doctor's care already so you were immediately set up for the bone marrow test whereas another doctor, say just a PCP, might just now be referring you to a hematologist/oncologist.
I agree you must let your brother or anyone who can help you as right now you have to think about your health and get this test done and then proceed to get your anemia treated. I will be praying like mad that your test is negative and your hematologist can find a treatment for your anemia and platelet and white cell count. I'm also praying those three dogs are going to be okay. You are going to be constantly on my mind and in my earnest prayers day and night. I know your faith in your Lord will see you through this test and finding out what's going on. He's our Rock and source of peace when things gets so scary in this life.
