She really needs to be seen by your vet to check her anal glands. If she is scooting her glands are probably full and need to be internally expressed, checked for infection and if infected is present an antibiotic is usually prescribed. If scarring occurs from infection this causes the glands to work less effectively. During each bowel movement the glands are expressed as part of the process of elimination. It really isn't something to try to self help by applying a antibiotic suggested on YT prior to your vets examination since this is a new issue. If the glands are left impacted the issue will NOT go away on it's own. Permanent damage can be caused by infection resulting in scar tissue forming within the gland or worse a ruptured anal gland.

I'm currently having issues with Bogey's anal glands that began in early January. His left gland is scarred from an infection that literally came from nowhere My husband took him for one of the visits and went on when I came home for 20 minutes about how poor Bogey screamed in pain while the vet did the exam and expression of his impacted glands. The vet has been re-examining him about every 2-3 weeks, he's been on an antibiotic twice already and he's said they will teach me to do it the proper way for the future.

Additionally, I had a very old foster day Truman several years ago who had an Anal Adenoma (benign growth). He was not neutered until he became a member of YHR. The vet explained that unaltered male dogs are very prone to this condition because hormones from being left intact and just another reason to neuter.
