I probably wouldn't take mine to the groomer if I was trying to grow a show coat, unless you know and really trust that groomer. I've had them not listen to what I wanted done too many times! The last time they shaved her nose. I only take yumi to get her nails cut and ears plucked now. Also if she still has some of her puppy fur you might want to wait until its cut off before growing her out. Yumi's baby fur was a lot more likely to tangle and mat than her adult coat. In a long coat I would think it could be a pain.
