If you are going to use a groomer, find one that grooms show dogs in general and yorkies in particular if possible.
This sounds pretty simple, I'm going to start giving her little trim. The only thing I'm scared of doing myself is the ear trim - how do you do that? I have seen videos of people actually shaving inside of the ear and I definitely am scared to do that by myself.

I can definitely understand not trusting people with your babies. I feel that at the end of the day, a groomer sees someone else's baby as just a dog.. But to us it's our little fur baby. I can definitely see this with my vet.. When I bring Chloe I can never go by myself because I just can't bring myself to let go of her when she is on the vet table. The vet wants her to just roam on that table.. And I clearly know she will want to jump down if I let go.. So I just don't let go lol until I see the vet is holding her. So.. Bringing her to a groomer where I'm completely nowhere near holding her or protecting her.. Nooo way.
