I live in a wooded area that is also seems to be a drop off spot for people who abandon pets. We have plenty of forest creatures as well. When I used to leave food out for the feral cats or frightened dogs at night we would have opossums, racoons, skunks, foxes, porcupines, etc. on the patio eating up the pet food. Amazingly they all got along just fine and many brought their families with them.

Had to stop feeding at night time since attracting small creatures like that also attracts larger predators. It was getting kind of expensive as well. Now the feeding station is farther out in the woods and only stocked during the day.

Gracie is never allowed off lead outside. Just too dangerous.
