This happened to me a few years ago it was quite scary. I was so afrid the dogs were going to get attacked.
I immediately went out and got a big rechargeable spot light that I keep by the back door. In the summertime I will go out first and do a quick scan of the yard before I let the dogs out. This light is soooo bright I can scan the yard practically standing in just two spots. Only takes about 30 seconds to do for peace of mind.
