Late Wednesday night Sissy started scratching, rubbing her muzzle, ears and butt on the floor. Her belly was red with little raised spots and she didn't sleep well. I called the vet first thing in the morning and she got her right in. It's allergies and she gave her a tapering dose of steroids. She is much better today-belly not red and has stopped scratching.
My vet is great, she is crazy about bubba because he is so friendly. Where as Sissy is shy and gets stiff as a board when there. My vet said to the vet tech, it's useless to try and take her temperature because she is just going to clamp that little nub down and no way will she let you, so just forget it.
Checking the allergy cast, maple, cedar and elm are the pollens out right now. It has been a miserable winter here in nj and with a little rise in temperature the past couple of days things are beginning to bloom (but they are predicting snow again next week

).
While I was there I picked up some CET toothpaste (on YT recommendation ) to see if they like it better than what I have been using. My vet is less expensive than Amazon but now I see Drs Foster and Smith has an even better price.
