The tiny scrunchies are perfect for putting closer to his eyes and getting those little wisps up. Then I put a second one farther back. (He hated when I tried this with the regular latex bands and ended up breaking more hair)

I have the scrunchies - as a newbie just finding them useful for quick 'n easy for very basic use when I want something easily removable - this is a nice additional use... Always more to learn..... (Honestly never thought I'd find myself spending so much time grooming anyone, but apparently it's relaxing for both of us (Shelby and me) so, what the heck, :-) )
