Thanks everyone. What I couldn't believe is the way that man was talking as if they do that ALL the time and it's OKAY. I have never let Brandy's feet touch the floor in that place and my pug's won't either. That dog looked like it wanted to tear the chinchilla's head off. I was really scared that his head would turn toward us when we walked around him, I tried to keep a good distance away. It was a fairly big dog, it looked like it may have been a pitt bull mix. Even if it was a smaller dog, people need to be more considerate. I have seen people bring pet rats into the store and I would hate to see any animal get chased around or worse
