I agree with Rhettsmom regarding the original vet called being an ER Vet now that I've read the original information. As she said, an ER Vet would state ahead of time the cost of treatment as well as expecting payment upfront and the costs are never cheap. Your post also addressed my question of where the puppy came from which is a private breeder. Even with all this information my original post still stands true. You also mention you are a nurse and there are several other nurses posting to both of your threads telling you the same thing. She needs a vet today and without hesitation.

I see no point involving the breeder further or trying to return Layla back to her now. Although it's not wise to allow tiny puppies to leave their momma's as such a young age or weight it's not a point of argument or blame at this point. The facts are pretty simple, Layla is not getting better, needs to be seen again today by a vet and she is dependent.
Totally agree. The breeder already tried the short cut method (no vet and no diagnosis) and clearly that did not work.

Your puppy needs to be with a vet....and if you don't trust the one you have, go to another. If money is a concern, you might want to apply for Care Credit...you can get immediate approval online. Healthcare and Medical Financing for Consumers | CareCredit™
As I told you in the other thread, proper vetting is not cheap.

The way things are going, I fear you will lose this puppy.
