Default My baby is very sick :(

I posted here 2 days ago about my new baby. She had some hypoglycemia, but seemed to recover well.

Last night I was up with her every hour. She was vomiting and had diarrhea all night. I would get up with her, clean her up, offer her water each time and Karo Syrup every few hours and put her back to bed. This morning she just seemed tired. She could walk, but was unsteady and wobbly. I gave her some more Karo and the wobbling improved, but she had refused to eat for 24 hours. She was still drinking and peeing well.

She is 9 weeks old and 1lb 7oz.

I took her to the vet, they assumed she has Parvo. I couldn't believe it....I think it was a bad batch of puppy food from the breeder that she took back to the pet store after the puppies all got diarrhea. I figured if she has Parvo last Wednesday when she first got diarrhea, she'd be gone by now. Also, her siblings would be very sick, and they are all fine.

I told the vet they weren't going to admit her and start IV fluid until they did a Parvo test. She was still drinking and urinating well, just tired and not eating. They did the rest and it was negative.

The vet still thinks it's Parvo, he says sometimes the first test is negative if the virus isn't shedding in their stool (remember, she's been sick since Wednesday)?

Sihe hasn't had diarrhea since early this morning, and since she is staying well hydrated I decided I could care for her better at home. She got a shot for nausea, anti stomach acid, and antibiotics. I gave her a wormer and anti diarrhea medicine they gave me when we got home. She has more antibiotics and anti nausea medicine they sent me home with. They also gave me liquid diet that looks like milk but has electrolytes, etc in it. I gave her some, but she threw it up.

She is still drinking bottled water and urinating well thank God, but just sleeping and resting all day. I think the vet stressed her out. I'm very worried about my baby. The vet wasn't willing to say she will be ok, he was very concerned.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Please say a prayer for my Lyla.
