Are all microchip companies created equally? My vet uses ResQ by DataMar. She told me it is utilized Internationally and that they also do not charge a yearly fee. The only time they charge a fee is when you change information such as an address or phone number.

I have three questions.......

1) Is there really any difference in microchipping companies?

2) Do vets have the capability of scanning all microchips no matter which one your pet may have? (Do their scanners recognize any chip?)

3) Does anyone use the ResQ by DataMar?
