A vet is like a general practitioner dr. They can treat your for things like a common cold and other things, but I wouldn't trust my care to a GP dr for something like cancer. They just aren't trained the same. Oncologists make it their business to not only get their MD, but to study further in a specialized field. The same with obstetrics. Yes, my GP Dr had to deliver a baby or 2, but he's not specialized in delivering babies, therefore I take that "illness" to a specialist. If for some reason, while seeing my oncologist, they found something that was outside their specialty, like hematology for instance, they wouldn't try to treat me themselves, they would send me to a hematologist- a specialist for what I needed.

Your vet is a General Practitioner. He/She is qualified to give vaccines and treat some stuff, but not specialized diseases. There are times when you need to stop talking and start listening, and this is one of those times.

You dog needs SPECIALIZED care, not vet care. Do the right thing by him and take him some where else. And honestly, your vet should have already referred you to someone else because your dog isn't getting better and you still don't have answers.

You say how much you care about Cody and how much you want to save him, yet you continue taking him to the same vet. That would be the equivalent of me taking my diabetic child to the dentist for treatments..... Stupid and it's gambling with the life of the thing you claim to care about.


P.s. If your vet was the BEST, Cody would be cured.

P.p.s the reason you seem to be making enemies is the way you talk to people.

I talk to ppl they way they talk to me......I treat ppl the way they treat me... If you think some ppl here were not RUDE, INSULTING, well that's on you, I see them as insulting and assuming, I give it the way I get it.
