First of all, at his age, I would not be as concerned about feeding the best quality food ... I would be more concerned that he was eating enough. Another brand of food might help, if you can find out what brand of food he was eating before you got him, maybe that would work. Also, sprinkling the food with grated parmesan cheese might entice him, dogs seem to be drawn to it.
