Makes definite sense. In human babies if a mother is induced early you'd have to worry about organs not being fully developed, not being able to breathe on their own, etc. Inducing early for no legitimate medical reason except to get micros that will reach a normal weight within the standard anyway just seems negligent, greedy, irresponsible, many other words.
