Ricky is adorable! Is he really active? My boys' coats do not touch the floor, and I think it is because they are super active. Dragging along pavement on our walks, carpet surfing playing fetch causes a lot of wear and tear.
I also think trimming the ends helps stimulate growth. That is probably why my boys' feet/legs/beards grow fastest. I try to remember to trim their saddles, but I often forget.
