I only use the gels, toothpastes, coconut oil, or dental rinses on mine.

I know the chews can cause blockages in small dogs (check the fine print... many recommended only for dogs over 10-20#). As for rope toys, one of mine got tangled up in one so I feel they're unsafe. Feeding kibble to clean the teeth is a myth.

Best practice is brushing the teeth (using Q-tips or gauze is fine, until a brush is accepted by the dog).
