Both Dolly & Teena are only 3.5 lbs. (Teena was only 2.5 when I got her at 2 yrs old). I free-feed them kibble all day & they really don't each much-maybe 1/2 cup total for the 2. At lunch--which is really the first time either of them will eat anything--& dinner I add a little something to the food bowl: a little meat, or meaty dog food or veggies or healthy dog treats.

When I got Teena she was a dog who shaked constantly-I think little ones tend to shake from many emotions. Now she never shakes.

I know if they ever started eating too much & getting "fat" I'd have to stop free-feeding.
