my last yorkie she just went to rainbow bridge at the age of 16 y/o, her body was pure black, no grey at all, face & legs were auburn, she was born that color and passed that color, her hair never grew, it was fine hair and shiny, silky, her body hair never grew longer the 3 inches past her tummy.
My first yorkie was the same color black body, auburn face , but had long , long hair. I can't say why my last baby's hair never grew in length, to me it was fine, less stressful trips to the groomer lol. I prefer the pure black body & auburn face and legs.
