Make sure they have clean margins before stitching you back up. Ask for it while your there in surgery. It can keep you from having to have another surgery later.

Are they taking lymph nodes? You need to also know if what the remove is ERP, PRP, HER2, triple negative. Your dr will know what these things are (basically is it estrogen fed, progesterone fed, etc. what's making this grow??), and these answers also determine any treatments if needed.

Do you mind me asking what hospital you'll be at?? I will gladly come sit and wait with you.... I don't mind at all. I've been exactly where you are numerous times, and I know just having someone there means a lot. Please message me if you want.....

P.s. Also look into BRCA testing if you can. Breast cancer puts you at higher risk for ovarian, uterine and cervical cancers. And a ca-125 series.

Yes make sure they do all of what Michele say's. I myself had Breast Cancer.
I was stage 3A, I was ER-,PR- but I was HER2 +. I had a double mastectomy and I had 6 months of chemo, and then I had to have a year of the Herceptin treatments due to being HER2+. I also had 6 weeks of Radiation.

Sending out prayers for you.
