 Fleas? Dry skin? Help!!
My 7 year old yorkie had fleas so I read a few forums online saying that a Dawn dish soap bath would help... So I bathed him with Dawn and later that night he was still itching... Sooo I used some Hartz flea and tick medicine on him. (before you start with all the horrible things about that brand and all the awful things it's done to many poor puppies, I know!) He started acting super sick (moping around, not eating) so I called the vet and they told me to immediately wash him again with dawn and bring him in. So I bathed him and he immediately started acting normal again after the bath so I decided to wait it out and not take him to the vet... But here is the thing... He is STILL ITCHING LIKE CRAZY. His skin is red and dry and itchy... Could he still have fleas? I don't see any on him and I don't think after all of that, they could still be there. So maybe it's just dry skin? Any remedies for dry skin?! Help. I feel awful for my poor itchy baby! |
