I'm pretty sure that my pup has a silky coat - I couldn't get it to tangle if I tried.
Anyway - his eyes are always brown (their natural color) in the pictures I take.
I wonder if having the "red eye" turned off or on with your camera makes a difference. I know until I started turning the "red eye" on that my other dog's eyes were always yellow or gold.....not good - at least for the picture.
