I'd love to hear a little more info about the pups, especially why they're just a bit older than most pups who are brought home? At this point you might have a pretty good idea of how big they'll get? How did you find them?

Good luck & have fun!!

Thank you! Thank you! I have 3 daughters, who have waited so long for a puppy. My husband and I have been searching as discretely as possible so that we could surprise them. I am going to let them name them. They have thrown out Sophie for a girl. I have never let on like we'd get more than one though, but I think they'll come up with names for both quickly after they see them.

As far as how I found them. The little girl, we are adopting (for a small fee), from a nice local couple. She is not with her breeder. She was purchased from the breeder at around 13 weeks. She is only 2.5lbs now, small, but healthy.

The little boy I have known about for a while. I was referred to his breeder through a different, more local breeder. Although he is exactly what we are looking for, I had thought there's no way we'd be able to get him. He is at the top of our price range and then with courier service was $400 more than that top amount. After talking with the breeder a while and hearing all about him and his personality, then I really wanted him more and was sad we wouldn't be able to. She has had several people come by to see him and the other puppies and he has been passed by for females, smaller males, or younger puppies. His size is perfect to me though as he is expected to be around 5-5.5lbs fully grown. Anyhow, after the last lady who stopped by the breeder's place passed him by for a smaller male, she got back into contact with me offering to reduce the price $400 so that with courier service we could get him within our budgeted price. I am ecstatic!

Again, we have absolutely no desire to create accidental litters of puppies so I want to reiterate point (to any of those who suspect that we have those intentions because of getting one male and one female). We will be getting them spayed/neutered accordingly.

We definitely didn't set out to get older puppies, but sometimes things work out differently than what we plan and what other people expect.
