That first day though, that was kind of rough. When I brought Cookie home from the surgery she just stood there with her head down in the most pathetic looking pose. It probably took 30-45 minutes before I could get her to lie down and relax. And then she puked up all her meals that day and night even though I was feeding her very small portions of wet food. I gave her ice cubes to keep her hydrated without ingesting a lot of water that might cause vomiting.
