I've had five Yorkie girls and none had any personality changes. It's a little tougher on a four year old than a puppy, but your little girl will feel much better after a few days. I would have blood work done before she has anesthesia just to be safe. I understand your worrying, but Maggie should be fine. I definitely would make sure she comes home with pain medication.
