Silk coats look thin on puppies, not ever poufy, but they grow into gorgeous adults. Forget the looks, do you have any idea how hard it is to take care of a cotton coat, they mat all the time. Now a puppies coat will mat, but a silky coat usually outgrows this by a year. Cotton coats will mat all their lives and you really have to be dedicated to keep the mats out. I think you are the lucky one, and I'm shocked your breeder isn't keeping this guy in her breeding program. The others don't have the correct hair, and hopefully they have gone to people who have lots of time to dedicate to grooming.
Thank you for all that . After reading this thread I do feel better now. She said all three of them are show quality. But she has no more room for another dog. She kept two to show from the previous litter ... One of them was pictured above. She is selling the other two pups to show homes..... I put a deposit on him whe he was only 7 days old so there wasn't much information on him at the time . But I did pay the show price... She doesn't give a discount for "pet" dogs. She made it a point to say that show or companion they are the same rate because she puts the same amount of work into it. And she probably has enough people after her dogs so she can get away with that . A little impulsive in my end , but it all worked out so I'm grateful.
