My plan at the moment is to tag team with my husband taking time off from work, and hopefully a friend or two to take turns during their time off. I am planning on definitely being with them myself at the very least the first 3 days straight. After that an depending on the circumstances, I'll need all the help I can get, so hopefully those friends are able to help.
The vet I spoke to, only mentioned the amount of time I would need to be concerned about for pushing without getting the pup out. But that's all. Some of the stuff I've read has covered things like water rupturing before the baby is born, green discharge before the baby is born, feet coming out first, and of course a pup that won't come out after extended pushing. That's what I can think of off the top of my head for the delivery portion itself. Then there is the care of the puppy itself. Are there any other distress signs you can think of I should be aware of?
Thanks for your response and input!
