Wow what an ordeal for you & Boobah! So glad she's safe & nobody got hurt.
We also live in a gated condo, but it's much like an apt w/hallways & elevator lobby. I still have a front door barrier so they don't run out, even if it's a hassle for us humans. They're used to having the barrier there & won't run out the front door, but I still have it there for peace of mind. Who knows if they'll bolt out the door bc they heard a squirrel or something. We had a huge adult hawk land on our patio, so I do not want them out there alone for any length of time. I use the small pet (hamster, rabbit 15" high ex-pen) so it's low enough to cross over. Set it up like a gate & have their water bottle hanging from it too. I swing it open if I need to bring in the grocery cart or whatever. Hope you'll find something that is both friendly for humans & keeps the doggies inside! |
