I always recommend going to a YTCA member, the qualities you want are well within standard; they can breed smaller snouts and still be within standard and in fact, standard rejects a long snout. If you go too short, be aware that the dog may have more breathing problems and tooth problems, but it's fairly safe to get one with a small snout. I recommend YTCA breeders because they are more likely to be breeding for the right reasons, they aren't breeding to make a buck, but because they truly love the breed and want to do right by it. Of course, even then you need to do your homework and check out the breeders and understand because of the high demand, they are looking for the best homes to place their pups, not the most money. |
