But I was talking to my dad tonight and if they eat regular food, w/o kibble, he may be interested in just adding the supplement and cooking them people food.

So I think instead of doing the carnivore blend, the easiest thing for me would be rice. That's something easy to mix in w/ the chicken, and he probably will eat it easier than any of the other carb sources.

So this is the recipe generated for Jackson:
JACKSON'S HOMEMADE FOOD RECIPE IngredientsGramsAmount(1)Chicken, thigh, meat only, cooked280.0 g2cup, chopped or diced(2)Oil, canola0.6 g1/8of a tsp(3)Rice, white, long-grain, regular, cooked118.5 g3/4of a cup
PLUS4 5/8 teaspoons (9.25 gram) of Balance ITŪ Canine once a day

1 bottle of Balance ITŪ Canine will last about 64 days

Per Above Recipe: 631 Calories; 45% protein calories (281 Calories); 34% fat calories (216 Calories); 21% carbohydrate calories (133 Calories); 66.2% moisture. Notes: These percentages do not correspond to the percentages listed on commercially made food.

Is this better than the carnivore blend?

The calories are a lot higher than recommended for him though. 631. His food now is 430 kcals/cup and he only gets 1/2 cup of kibble per day plus canned and a few treats etc.
I actually just made a batch of chicken thighs and brown rice last night! I prefer this recipe you posted to the carnivore blend. That carnivore blend is literally the supplement and whatever single protein source you choose. Even if you do a recipe with rice and pick the high protein version, it's still a ton of meat. I initially tried to make the high protein one but I'm not going to feed Toki a cup of chicken thighs with a tablespoon of rice each day. Too much fat and protein for her (and pricier than incorporating rice and veggies). So I just swapped it for the regular recipe. The calories for the daily recipe generated are also much higher for us too so I'm just going to give her whatever amount I know she eats calorically to maintain her weight and adjust the amount of supplement and assess her weight weekly. I could probably also just decrease her weight in the generator but yeah...she'd balloon up if I fed what they calculated/recommended. How big are your dad's dogs? I wish we had more room in the freezer for Toki's food. I can't believe how much space it takes up for a dog that's not even 8 pounds!
