Ok, I'm thinking of hitting up the grocery store tomorrow and testing this out on our dogs. My dads dogs are HORRIBLE eaters. They act like feeding them is just... a disgrace. I even mix real meats, etc, in with their kibble, and they often walk away from their bowls. So I've given up and decided to stop worrying so much about it.
But I was talking to my dad tonight and if they eat regular food, w/o kibble, he may be interested in just adding the supplement and cooking them people food.
So I think instead of doing the carnivore blend, the easiest thing for me would be rice. That's something easy to mix in w/ the chicken, and he probably will eat it easier than any of the other carb sources.
So this is the recipe generated for Jackson:
JACKSON'S HOMEMADE FOOD RECIPE IngredientsGramsAmount(1)Chicken, thigh, meat only, cooked280.0 g2cup, chopped or diced(2)Oil, canola0.6 g1/8of a tsp(3)Rice, white, long-grain, regular, cooked118.5 g3/4of a cup
PLUS4 5/8 teaspoons (9.25 gram) of Balance ITŪ Canine once a day
1 bottle of Balance ITŪ Canine will last about 64 days
Per Above Recipe: 631 Calories; 45% protein calories (281 Calories); 34% fat calories (216 Calories); 21% carbohydrate calories (133 Calories); 66.2% moisture.

Is this better than the carnivore blend?
The calories are a lot higher than recommended for him though. 631. His food now is 430 kcals/cup and he only gets 1/2 cup of kibble per day plus canned and a few treats etc.
