Uni has a thin, silky and yes stringy coat. There is no product in the world that will make it look like a show dogs coat. It is in her genes, as I suspect the same as your pups. It's ok, Uni's hair has made me come to realize and accept her and my hair as well. It's just the way it grows out and no topical product will change the genetic makeup.

Tearing can also be a genetic thing. But in puppies can be as simple as the hair growing out and poking them in the eye. Just have to wait it out. If it still tears after that, then again you know it's genetics. Lots of yorkies have problems with their tear ducts.

LP issue: Uni is the same. Her feet turn outwards not in. She also runs crooked. She is almost 7 now and hasn't had an issue, but every dog is different. Keep her weight on the lower side of healthy, limit her jumping, and many give supplements such as glucosamine. Talk to your vet and do not jump into surgery right away. Unless the dog goes lame or is in pain, I don't see why one would go thru the surgery. It's costly, and recovery is about 8 weeks, and they usually do one knee at a time.
