We've been using Camp Bow Wow here for almost four years, and love it. Camp Bow Wow here does not allow collars like the one you described. I asked about why they had to have a break-away collar (they sell the ones that are required to give you an example), and was told that in the case of an emergency (fire), it's easier to link the dogs together in order to get them out quickly. No, they will not put on harnesses in the case of an emergency, when time is of the essence. I don't want Ian to have a leash attached to his collar either, but I do understand their point. I don't want him to have any issues with his trachea, nor do I want him to have any delays in exiting the facility...stuck between a rock and a hard place. Hope this helps.
