Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I am sorry your boy has a tumor. My family had a senior Airedale, much larger dog, who had a cancerous tumor removed from the back of her mouth, near her throat. Our vet wasn't a specialist, but everything worked out fine and she lived to very old age.
Praying that your boy's tumor will be able to be removed and that he will have the same positive outcome. I can imagine how scared you are for your little guy. See a specialist.
