I think Gizmo goes beyond hearty eater :-) its probably due to the person I rescued him from, that was starving him to try to make him a micro by stunting his growth. He will eat pretty much anything and we have to put him in his pen at our meal time, or we will end up with a yorkie in our food lol. He is totally food obsessed which is kind of sad, to think what must be in his mind to feel like he has to hurry and eat everything available, because I think he's worried about starving again, he even hides food and treats in a bunch of different places, i think just in case. We've gone through a couple different brands of food though, because he seems to get tired of them, so we switch back and forth between royal canine and wellness for kibble. Right now he's back to eating his royal canine yorkie kibble, mixed with half of commercial Raw. He really seems to love this combo. He will also ration his pee to get more treats, than if he just did one big pee and got one treat :-) today he ate both of his regular meals, snacked a bit on my husbands apple, ate the carrots out of hubby's dinner salad, along with a few pieces of lettuce, had many tiny pieces of treats for potty on the pad and out for a little walk (since he learned how to pee less and more times, I have learned to give tiny pieces of his treats to account for this lol), and he had half a sweet potato and pumpkin teething ring from n-bone, which are amazing for teething pups. That's just to give you an idea of what his daily eating habits are :-) the vet said all his bloodwork is perfect and he is super healthy at 5.2 lbs and will be 7 months old on the 5th or 6th of jan. :-) I couldn't believe he ate all that with just having 5 baby teeth pulled just the evening before last as well as getting fixed and microchipped, he's definitely back to himself !!!!!

So yes my Gizmo far out weighs the hearty eater lol, but I always make sure everything is healthy he eats and never eats anything bad for him. Oh and I also hide little bits of kibble through out the house as he likes to search for food, and that is the only way he will eat the kibble by itself hahaha. My husband is mostly to blame for the sharing of salad and such, because Gizmo has him wrapped around his little paw. I tell my husband to stop it, and he says well let him look at you with those eyes and say no lol. I actually do exactly that, I tell him no, but hubby is creating a monster I think. I do give him frozen veggies as well :-) the vet did say his BMI is perfect though, so who am I to complain right? It's by far better than the situation I rescued him from starving, and I don't think he will ever lose that food obsession because of it.
