I don't think they are meant to be eaten and I don't let my boys swallow any part of the C.E.T. chews. Be very careful with them. They can be major choking hazards. I hold the chews while my guys work on them.

Depending on the dog, the C.E.T. chew can be turned into a rubbery, wet potato chip like thing. Many dogs will try to swallow it.

Wylie's Mom almost lost one of her pups this way. She was able to perform the Heimlich and revive her boy.

Often using a larger size with a small dog helps, but not with my guys. Max managed to swallow one and I had to pull one out of Teddy's throat when they got away from me.

Not all dental chews are alike. Some can be swallowed, like Greenies, but those may me nervous too.
