Oh my! I know how stressful that can be. Toki stopped doing things like that once she got older (thankfully). As a puppy, she would chew on door stoppers, wall corners, and glasses...we couldn't buy cute little dog beds without her de-stuffing them and strewing the fluff all over the place...things like that.
She's over 2 years old now and isn't the destructive chewer she was as a young pup. Exercising seemed to help her to get out some of her energy and I try to give her Nylabones to keep her busy when she gets too bored and I can't entertain her. She is still an opportunist and will snag chapsticks and little papers you leave on her level when we go out but otherwise she knows what is hers and what is okay to chew on. Hopefully some others here will be able to offer you some good training advice. |
