I used it the first week I had Gizmo along with nutrical , BUT he was in a hypoglycemic coma when I rescued him, at around the same size as your baby. Once his blood sugar was stabilized through a good diet, I've not given it to him since. I would just make sure he's eating well, and check his gums often to make sure they are nice and pink. My Gizmo unfortunately was rescued by me from some back yard breeder who was starving him to stunt his growth, to try to make more money off him by selling him as a micro (which does not exist but created by unscrupulous breeders), and he had gone into a coma from low blood sugar, and his gums were pure white.
I would read up on here about the best diets and all of that stuff :-) this place is amazing, the people are so helpful, they really helped me get Gizmo through his ordeal and he's very healthy now, with a few left over medical issues due to being starved. It sounds like your on the right track, asking the right questions and your pup is lucky to have you :-) |
