 Is Karo syrup necessary?
Hello, everyone! I have just recently got a little baby yorkie, she is 9 weeks and this is my first time having a little puppy. I was told to give her Karo syrup AND ener-cal to keep her sugar up and prevent hypoglycemia. However, the vet told me that Karo syrup isn't really necessary as long as I give her ener-cal. What confuses me is that on the label of ener-cal says it's a nutrition supplement? So I just want to know from fellow yorkie owners, is ener-cal sufficient enough to prevent hypoglycemia or do you mix Karo/honey sometimes in your puppies food as well? I have been giving her little amounts of banana and apple as well to give her a little sugar along with ener-cal between meals. |
