Most of the info I can find is written for bigger dogs and I'm unfamiliar with what a dog this size should eat with bone in it.
In my mind chicken thigh or chicken wings are just small enough and have a smaller bone, but on few websites I found written that these are the most problematic bones mentioned.
Am I right to assume that they are problematic for bigger dogs which might swallow them whole but a yorkie will actually chew it ?
Could use some guide from anyone willing to help. |
With puppies and in my case a gobbler, you want to present a larger mass of meat to them and stay away from necks and wings as they can present a choking hazard unless you are holding it. If you give them an interesting shaped piece like a thigh or bone in breast they will teach themselves how to eat it and it gets their little brains working too, hmmm how can I get at this delicious piece of meat.
