what did your breeder have the dog on.
My recommendation is to buy whole organic chicken. You don't want too much bone in the diet to begin with and chicken bones are very soft.
I would wean the pup off kibble with some boiled chicken, then every day let it chew on some raw chicken 6-10% of adult body weight. After about 10 days you can start to add other proteins one at a time, pork, lamb, rabbit, duck, beef. You also want to introduce them to organs after a few weeks, these are vital to the diet. Some dogs will not eat them right away, many people freeze the organs first and for some reason the dogs then eat them
should be 80% muscle meat, 10% bone, 10% organ (5% of which is liver) I also feed mine green tripe. I get my organ and tripe in ground frozen cubes and then am able to measure them out as a weight percentage. I freeze them in portions and give them as a treat after a meaty meal. |
