I got the pads from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. They are in the bedding section and are about $12 each...don't forget your coupon. I purchased 5 of them. They air dry very quickly.

I don't pre-rinse first. Just put them in the washer and run through the cycle twice. I now have two washing machines (one I use just for dog laundry and the other washer for my other laundry) but I didn't pre-rinse when I had only one washer. I feel like running the cycle twice gets everything clean enough.
