Thank you all for your thoughts and kind words about Barney. I requested all his records they were so vague -- and while I was happy to rule out more fatal things, I wasn't satisfied that we had a good explanation of why Barney was having this tremor. As weeks have passed, the anticonvulsant medication wasn't doing anything, even at a doubled dose. Having used this medication in my dog Teddy who suffers from epilepsy and has severe, whole brain (generalized) seizures, I knew it would have worked for a much more milder "seizure". I don't know if it came to me in a dream, but I felt I had to press on, in case we were missing something. After emailing the doc, and thinking out loud with him about this, he agreed! He is is testing him for cushings (esp Atypical Cushings). That will happen next week and we have to wait for tests from the Univ of TN to see if Barney has abnormalities. He may be 13, but he has the best brain in the house, it just doesn't add up!
