Plastic is definately bad. It could have edges that perforate the intestine or stomach. Paper is bad also, because it could cause a bowel obstruction. That being said, my Huey has eaten (and passed) entire paper towels, receipts, kleenex, toilet paper and any other paper product he can get his paws on. He loves paper almost as much as he loves cheese! He has also passed bits of foil, pieces of plastic ink pens and part of a wicker chair he ate. So while you do your best to keep these things away from your pup, they do have a tendancy to get into stuff. Because of this, I monitor each and every poop, even though that is gross, just to make sure he remains healthy of if I feel a visit to the vet for an xray is in order.
