The general rule is to find the one that isn't too lazy and also isn't too hyper. So you want the pup thats in the middle of the two, but ultimately you'll want the pup that picks you out. I had the choice of 2 from a litter of 4. A boy that was very hyper, liked to chase and bite on his momma, or the smaller more laid back shy girl. I chose the girl, because I'm a quiet laid back person. The other 2 were already gone, I got the only girl in the litter and she ended up being the runt, and smallest the breeder ever had. She's fierce though, loves tug-of-war and feet attacking while we walk lol! The thing I noticed is that she doesn't bark much, only when she needs to potty or wants to play. Usually its just a tiny small pitched yap. Some of the more hyper and rambunctious ones can be noisy! I also wanted a girl dog because I knew I was going to indoor train and they are easier for that since they squat instead of spray.
